Honey, you need to do a cupcake dance to the WordPress gods…I was thrilled to hit 100 most days (and that’s with me pimping it on FB/Twitter like the rent’s due tomorrow). And on my writing group site (, we were ecstatic to get over 20! I shall share my 100-gazillion readers with you as well!

Lori, I just found your blog and love it! I started blogging about a month ago, not only do I love to write, but I now am finding other blogs like yours. I wish you all the best on your manuscript too!

I am adding you to my blogroll. I can beat Tracey’s 30 readers with an impressive 14 subscriptions. 😉 and yes, I am addicted to looking at my stats – my biggest hit day was 80 – so I drank a bottle of wine (or two) to celebrate. 😉

    • August 4, 2010 8:24 am

Hi Paige – I’m a blogging newbie, too! And totally OCD about stats. And a bit of a drinker. We’re going to get along just fine… 😉
p.s. I love your blog and have subscribed – you’re a great writer!

    • August 5, 2010 8:29 am

Yes, I’m very new at this – just like you! If the freshly pressed thing can happen to me, it can happen to anyone…I’m still not sure how it all works, but I’m very lucky because it introduced me to so many new blogs like yours (from India no less – so cool!). Thanks so much for reading and commenting,

  5. September 10, 2010 10:42 pm

Love your before/after photo in your About Me. I hadn’t realized until reading these comments that you’d been “Pressed.” I’ve only been blogging a few months and only a few weeks on wordpress (after blogger annoyed me a few too many times).

I had no idea (but should have guessed) that you are also writer in addition to raising your thespians. I’m looking forward to reading your other stuff, which I should be through by, oh, 2013. Thank goodness for electronics that allow us to read during those rare down times.

How do you find the time to actually finish a novel with two children? Because these days, I’m lucky to find 15 minutes to think. One blog post can take me 8 hours from when I type the first sentence. It all has an odd correlation to when my children sleep… or don’t.

I also find I lose a lot of time writing comments, because I have this nasty habit to turn my responses into mini-blogs. I surmise this is caused by the majority of my conversations consisting of drooling babble from my daughter or Chuggington trains and snuggling excrement from my son.

Oh dear. My little banshee wished to compete with her brother for Top Poopapaloozer and had a blowout in her car seat. Oh the joys. 🙂

I think you are my new favorite writer! So, so, so funny and smart. I love it.

BTW- I apologize for tweeting you a picture of my daughter’s poop on the floor. Is it too soon?

    • September 15, 2010 10:09 am

Honey, it is a mutual love affair – I’m so happy that my twitter trolling led me to you! We’re living parallel lives, like that Gwyneth Paltrow movie, except we’re both stuck with poopy toddlers (so, ok, maybe not so much like that movie…)

ps It’s never too soon for poop pictures…I swooned with envy…

Yay!….and you thought today would just be an average, ordinary day in the Great White North….Have a great day Lori! 🙂

    • December 1, 2010 10:05 pm

I will celebrate with couscous and belly dancing! VERY honoured/honored to be part of the harem. I have no such distinction for my peeps, but you can be the first unofficial cyber stud if that works for yo 😉

ps you are going on my blog roll tonight – people need to know about you!
